The family moved to Brigham City, Utah in July 1961, where Bill worked for Thiokol in the development of Minuteman missiles for the government, about 20 miles out near the Salt Flats. Daniel’s only clear memories from the years he lived in Utah were of living in a suburban neighborhood and playing with children of his own age.1
